Capalbo Strong was founded in 2017 by a team of Fairfield Prep  hockey moms in support of Charlie Capalbo during his first battle with cancer. Against all odds, Charlie beat cancer three times (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Leukemia). Sadly, he lost his fourth battle a month of shy of his 24th birthday.

Throughout his five-year journey he gracefully and openly shared his story, and consistently inspired a community and beyond, with his positivity, humor, resilience and grit.
 
At this time all funds raised go directly to The Charlie Capalbo Memorial Fund for pediatric cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Boston Children's Hospital, where Charlie was treated from 2018 until he passed away in April 2022.
 
Capalbo Strong is currently in the process of applying for 501c3 status.
