Who We Are
Capalbo Strong was founded in 2017 by a team of Fairfield Prep (mostly) hockey moms in support of Charlie Capalbo during his first battle with cancer. Charlie has since beat cancer twice (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Leukemia) and is currently in his third battle. Throughout his four-year journey he has gracefully and openly shared his story and has consistently inspired an entire community and beyond, with his positivity, humor, resilience and grit.
Currently Capalbo Strong provides support for him and his family, and also raises awareness about pediatric cancer. When Charlie is in remission, all funds raised go directly to pediatric cancer organizations, including Child Life Services at Bost Children's Hospital, where he has been treated since 2018.
Capalbo Strong is currently in the process of applying for 501c3 status.
